Asexuality, a lack of sexual attraction, has historically been treated by the counseling profession as a problem in and of itself.

Fortunately this is becoming less and less the case.  If you are asexual (or identify with any of the many personal labels related to asexuality including but not limited to gray-A and Aro) you will find counseling here that neither considers asexuality a problem, nor thinks that asexuals are necessarily celibate.

The research on asexuality is still in its infancy, but it is as real and valid a sexual orientation as gay, straight, and bi.
